Mindfulness Meditation Drop-ins

Mondays 12- 12:30pm @ CSI, Regent Park
Tuesdays 6- 7:00 pm @ CSI, Annex

Mindfulness is a meditation practice in which we train ourselves to pay close attention to our present experience. Connecting with the present moment helps us become aware of habitual thought patterns and start to create healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges.

Welcome to the mindfulness meditation drop-in, led by certified facilitators. This drop-in program is based on the scientifically proven techniques that improve physical and mental health. At each weekly session, participants will be guided through mindful movement and various mindful meditations.
This is an introductory program suitable for beginners or those with meditation experience.

Mindfulness is the awareness that emerges through paying attention, on purpose, to the present moment and non-judgmentally. This kind of attention nurtures awareness, a different mode of mind to our usual busy, doing mode. With this practice comes greater clarity, patience, acceptance and ease. It allows us to gain access to our own powerful inner resources for insight, transformation and healing.    ~ Jon Kabat-Zinn
